Tretinoin 0.1% Cream (Prescription Only)
Tretinoin 0.1% Cream
Tretinoin is widely regarded as the gold standard topical prescription treatment for improving skin quality and reducing the visible signs of ageing.
By increasing skin cell turnover and stimulating collagen production, tretinoin helps improve:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun damage
- Uneven skin tone
- Pigmentation
- Acne
- Post-inflammatory pigmentation
- Skin texture
- Enlarged pores
The 0.1% strength is the strongest commonly prescribed formulation and is generally suitable for patients who have already built tolerance to lower strengths or where clinically appropriate following assessment by one of our prescribers.
How it works
Tretinoin binds to receptors within the skin to:
- Increase collagen production
- Reduce collagen breakdown
- Speed up skin renewal
- Improve epidermal thickness
- Reduce blocked pores
- Improve overall skin quality
Unlike cosmetic retinol products, tretinoin is the active form of vitamin A and does not require conversion by the skin, making it significantly more effective.
